Fall mini sessions, part 2! – Santa Cruz and San Lorenzo Valley family photographer

Well, fall clearly got away from me and we’re a few weeks into winter — as well as a new year! But I still want to recap photos from many of the wonderful mini sessions I held during this past fall.

I’m so grateful for these opportunities to connect with local families across Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties and to capture you in this moment in your lives!

I met up with this wonderful family at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton after they won a giveaway I did on my Facebook page as a thank you for reaching 300 fans. I have since almost doubled my number of fans, and as a result I have met many of the families featured in the photos below!

In early November, I held mini sessions at Lighthouse Field State Beach in Santa Cruz (often referred to as Its Beach).

It was a bright, sunny day filled with smiles and laughter.

We ended the day at golden hour with a lovely sunset and a repeat session with the sweetest little boy, who I had met six months earlier when he was 3 months old!

A few days later, I went back to Harvey West Park in Santa Cruz with another family who I had met at my spring mini sessions back in April. I love the colors at Harvey West, and the overcast sky added a cool, rich tone to our images.

In October, I donated two mini-session gift certificates to local events – Team House Hunter’s Fall Festival and Santa Cruz Babywearing’s celebration of International Babywearing Week. After our original session date was rained out, we rescheduled to a gorgeous day in mid-November. The first session took place in Soquel, and the second was at my favorite beach, Seacliff State Beach in Aptos.

Thank you to all of these amazing families! It brings me such joy to get to know you, to see your children grow, to learn new tricks for finding those smiles in little ones, and to grow as a photographer. You are becoming a part of my life just as I am becoming part of yours. It’s humbling and inspiring, and I can’t wait to see what 2016 holds in store for all of us!
